The clean raindrops fell
from the ecstatic sky on
her artistic curves of clavicle
making it the purest sea
I would want to engulf me.

(I had written nano poetries on Clavicles earlier as well. If you like, you may read them here.)

Status Update

I am quite frustrated with WordPress for a couple of days, and there are reasons for acting grumpy.

This is what I want to do with WordPress.
This is what I want to do with WordPress.

Firstly, I am not getting posts from my friends( Favorite bloggers) on Reader. I surmised that they haven’t posted in days, but then I go and visit their sites, and I see posts from them! This is really annoying. My reader has got nothing! 😥

Secondly, Many comments are going to Spam folder. Why would comment like, “I really like your blog.” would be marked as spam? Why why why?
If there is something that can be done about it, please let me know.

Thirdly, the views and likes on stats are low than the likes on the posts. How? Why?

Weary of the tears my eyes and pen created to paint you and your memories
I replaced the pen with a cigarette, holding it between my fingers
To suck in the truth that you no longer care
To blow out the smoke along with thoughts of you
To flick off the ashes of love we once lived
But every time I puffed, the cloud of the smoke created your face.

Disclaimer: Smoking cigarette in poems is not injurious to health; however, the heart may ache for a while.

आज रात मेरी यह ख़ामोशी (With English Translation)

 Aaj raat meri yeh khamoshi

Aaj raat meri yeh khamoshi use suna dena
Kuch na sune toh aansu se fehli shayahi dekha dena
Mei toh ghayal hu de gayi uski khata se
Tum jurm-e-mohobbat ke kuch fasane suna dena
Aaj raat meri yeh khamoshi use suna dena.

Aaj raat meri yeh khamoshi use suna de
Lagi ho agar uske bhe dil me aag
Tum mere purane khaton se bhuja dena
Khat ab jo na likh sake use alvida ka
Tum in siskiyon ka geet suna dena
Aaj raat meri yeh khamoshi use suna dena.

Let him hear my silence tonight

Let him hear my silence tonight
Show these tear-stained pages if he will not hear
He is the cause of this, my plight
Sing of this cursed love into his ear
Let him hear my silence tonight.

O let him hear my silence tonight
And if he too burns as I do, here
Use my love letters to smother the fire bright
I couldn’t say, “Goodbye, may your future be fair”
Sing him of sorrow, of the tear stained night
Oh, let him just hear my silence tonight!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary with! You registered on 2 years ago! Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!

Today happens to be the day when I introduced myself to the blogging world. I wasn’t active initially and did not follow or have followers. Eventually, I interacted with so many amazing people here, whom now I call friend and is like a family to me. Thank you for your support, appreciation and encouragement. I shall continue to pour my heart out here and I hope if not all, few do listen.

The tick tick of the clock
The tap tap of the keyboard
The scritch scritch of the pen
Would never cease.

Yellow Chimes

I wandered along the sun one afternoon
with quiet clouds, with unsung days of June.
A tall tree clasped in sunlight came into sight
Leaves shimmered as the wind whirled in delight.
I looked at the yellow chimes swinging on the tree
singing the song of love ruffled by the soft breeze.

I wondered
if that was all my eyes could see
if that was all my ears could listen
if that was the only beauty painted.

I then laid my eyes on the broken chimes on the ground
that rested silently, unnoticed, singing the unheard sound.
The beauty was neither in the wholeness nor in unbroken
it was in the existence, in crinkles of all that had fallen.

(I have been slightly busy with work, despite of that I actually did wander, and I hope I could capture the essence fairly.)

Starlight and Brotherhood Awards

Awards on WordPress play an important role in binding all the bloggers here and helping each one of us to discover great blogs in fun ways.
The wonderful person, Shubhit nominated me for the Brotherhood of the World Bloggers Award. Life and its ingredients – The blog name speaks so much.
Thank you so much, Shubhit 🙂

Here are the rules:
1) Thank and link back to the person who nominated you for the award.
2) List the Rules and Display the Brotherhood of the world Award logo to your post and/or blog.
3) Answer the questions set to you and then you may create your set of questions for your nominees.
4) Nominate around ten other bloggers and let them know about the award.

Questions asked:

1. You are given the responsibility to bring global peace, how will you do that?
Ans: By taking up the responsibility.

2. Did blogging improve your life in any way?
Ans: Yes, it did. Reading, writing and interacting always help you to improve. Plus, I no longer know what Facebook is!

3. You can do anything you want for 3 hours, what would you do?
Ans: I can do few things; Write, read, sleep, or give an exam…D’oh!
I can also do “nothing’ for 3 hours- silence and me.

4. Reading or writing, given you’ll be paid for reading?
Ans: Reading is important for me. I believe without reading (learning) you cannot write. However, even if I’ll be paid for reading, I would still choose to write because words are like water, they cannot be still, they have to make waves, they need to flow.

5. An idea of a perfect life?
Ans: A perfect life is when I am not looking/craving for perfection.

6. You can travel back in time, what year you would choose and why?
Ans: 1947- I want to know how being independent felt! To learn perseverance and to live with just basic amenities. Life is a lot easy now, no?

7. Space, Solitude, Silence. Choose one and why?
Ans: Solitude – I was reading something on the internet and I learned that solitude is not loneliness and being alone. Yes, that is what the dictionary says, but solitude is an adjective for people who can live happily when they have no one, when they are at peace. Solitude would lead to silence and silence is my space.

8. Is there life elsewhere in universe?
Ans: In mother’s hug.

9. You have to plan a surprise for your best friend, but you are broke. What will you plan?
Ans: First, I don’t believe in Best friend. Second, I will gift him/her a hand-made card/ painting ( I do it even if I am not broke) and a giant bear hug. (No gifts, only luv!)

10. One of your friends, with whom you were not in contact for many years, meets you somewhere and starts cursing you. How will you tackle the situation?
Ans: Who let the WIMP out? Who who who who….
