Wouldn’t that be lovely ………. to leave this life knowing that your song would be sung for many years thereafter. There is a worthwhile life goal ……… to write such a song! 🙂
Very, very beautiful. The metaphor with the song is great, Kritika. Life is a song, and we are humming the melody and add verse to verse. At times we are encountering the chorus again.
Firstly, thank you, Erika for your appreciation 😀
Secondly, please put this as a quote. It is even more meaningful and beautiful than what I have written. Please, okay?
Thank you, Kritika, for this input, I saved it. You are so lovely. But I have to say that this was highly inspired from your words. You said that really beautifully. 😘
Not that deep. Hawa-e-shauq :- apni masti mein, dhun mein
baad-e-saba — the morning breeze, a cool refreshing wind.
Once I’m dead what difference would it make to me how beautiful the world and all that’s in it are?
Oh, I get it. I agree with that. However, what I wrote is about remembrance when you are gone. Leaving your bits in form of stories of courage. Like leaving behind your legacy.
I know what you meant. My rather oblique take on that, through that couplet, was that once I’m gone I’d be beyond caring what became of any legacy I left behind. 🙂
Having even a few love you is more than what most can achieve in a lifetime….
“And I shall live my life on earth
contented to the end,
If but a few shall know my worth
and proudly call me friend.”
Dearest, your writings are so beautiful – all of them, bit this i really loved – it is how I live my life or try to, and how I teach my daughter to live x
I cannot be more happy to hear that, ma’am. This is something that I not usually hear, but you are very kind to saying that for me.
I opened the link, but it is unavailable. Do you have another blog?

Not a very good translation, but it gets the gist across, provided you know that “go” in this couplet stand for dying.

This is beautiful. Too deep to understand the meaning, though.

I would really care, because not many love me at the moment. Haha!

This is exactly life itself. The notes should be heard even long after we’ve completed the song. Wonderful!

Whether the song continues to be sung when we’re gone or not, there is still value in making ones life a song. Cheers.
