I thought of mentioning it in the post, but decided otherwise. Remember you telling me to date a poet because that would be the best for me? Some thought on that lead to this.
So sincerity is the issue? I can see how that could happen but then, that failing is not limited to poets is it. Perhaps the issue is simply that the expectations are greater from poets?
I think an answer could be that you, being a poet, has an affinity to other poets and because of this common art form, extend a level of trust that is unfounded. We must acknowledge that poets are simply people who express themselves in more creative and sensitive ways that most non-poets. Primarily however, they are people with all the failings that being a person entails. Good answer????
It’s hard to stand beside your words when you write as often as I do
You cast them into the web and then you forget what you wrote
But if you ask me can I carry the weight of my words
YES
broken knees and back
It’s the all of who I am
As always Sheldon
I couldn’t agree with you more. 🙂

Ok Kritika……… I have to ask because it is a little ambiguous. Is it heard to keep loving a poet, or is it hard to keep a poet?

To keep loving.

Thx Kritika. Would you care to postulate as to why it is hard to keep loving a poet?

My memory is far from perfect but …………….. did I really tell you to date a poet? Telling anybody to do anything is quite unlike the me that I know! 🙂

I am sorry for phrasing it in that sense. You suggested me, and obviously not told me to.

I don’t even recall suggesting you date anybody in particular, but your memory is much younger than mine!

I thought it was pretty easy to love a poet. Their words are melting the heart.

People later cannot hold the weight of their words. That is when it becomes hard.

How would I answer that? And I will try to find that post.

That is a quality, Sheldon. And mind may forget after writing, but they travel with you everyone, unnoticed and unheard sometimes. Keep smiling.
