Looked for you through the unbending walls
Searched for your shadow between the sheets
While the broken pieces of our love on the floor
From the last night perforated my twisted feet.
Jotting your traces on the mantle wrapped around
I found myself lying knackered on the horizon line
While in the ocean of woe all memories drowned
Yet somehow the scent of yours inside me did survive.

Beautiful piece of work Kritika !
“From the last night perforated my twisted feet.”…Loved the play of words.

Can I say, that your words evoked an exact and specific memory for me, as if you knew my life as well when you wrote it? Beautiful Kritika. Poignant, and so full of love.

My poem becomes worth all the thinking, if these words connected to you in someway. This means a lot to me, ma’am. Thank you so very much, as always.

I enjoy how you evoke such emotion in your poem. It spoke to me of that space between love, loss, and letting go. Great job, Kritika.
